Hey Everyone! Got my harness updated and Piaa lights on and working. so my question is: when piaa lights came on with the pretty blue tint it made the headlights look cheap and outdated as far as light color goes. So since the harness has thicker gauge wires I think its safe to shop around for some new bulbs. Is there any bulbs U guys tried that match the Piaa lights? if so is my assumption correct that the harness should handle higher wattage bulbs? Or is it marginally calculated to be just enough not to melt it self running stock bulbs? THX

I hear you, in that when I am behind a truck at a traffic light and flip on the high beam the Rigid light bar makes the stock bulbs seem anemic.

Even so, I can think of two quick reasons to NOT increase wattage or heat of the bulbs though.
One is that while the harness was replaced, where it plugs into was not. And those wires were also designed for the classic 55/60 watt bulbs.
Second is that the lights are mounted in a plastic shell and increasing wattage could cause shell damage.

Bottom line is that you are already getting increased light from the aux lights.

To get the color to match your best bet is to upgrade your stock halogen bulbs to HIDs with a color of 6000 which is what PIAA states is the color of the LEDs. I just bought a 35 watt HID kit today for my 2014. I've had these before in other bikes and zero problems. I went with 35 watt because my last bike had 55 watt and they were too bright at night. Here's where I've bought my HID kits over the past 9 years:

I'd suggest picking 35 watt, H7 bulb, and 6000 for color for you. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W
