Has anyone ever tried a givi xs320 tank bag on a tenere?

the givi xs320 is made for the versys and the African twin using there tank lock system. I just wondered if anyone had ever tried one on a tenere? They’ve got a slope to them that looks like it would work on the tenere tank. I’ve got the rox pull backs installed and trying to figure out a good tank bag to get. Going off the measurements some of them must be huge. Any suggestions? Thanks The tank lock system looks pretty slick? Thoughts?

I have the xs308, looks to be similar shape to the 320 but with removable side pockets. It fits the Tenere tank perfectly and the mounting system is great. The rear of the tank bag rests on the fuel tank so I use a film of 3M stone guard to protect the paint. I've had it 2 years and use it on both my bikes, the zippers and Velcro still work as new.image.jpeg

I have the Givi XS308 as well and I also put a strip of 3m clear on the tank to protect paint. The tank bag is great and the mounting system is slicker than whale snot in an ice flow! I will say the zipper on the bag did not hold up well, mine has started to tear apart, otherwise great piece of kit....

Does anyone know how this compares to the XS306? I just bought one on CL and it sits to far forward on the tank and impedes the movement of my bars (rox risers pulled way back...) It looks like the front ends at about the same place on both the XS306 and XS308...

I looked at that xs306 online and it’s more of a flat bag verses the xs308 which drops down over the tank. It does look like you can move that mount on the bottom of the bag forward so the bag would set farther back, that might help ????? I got the xs308 and I also have the rox risers it just touches the bag a little bit at full lock. Good luck

Oh, i hadn't noticed that, assumed the mounting on the bag was fixed. I'll try playing w/that. Thanks!

What brand of headlight protector is that?
Yamaha, It is not sold in the USA though. I bought mine here in Canada. You can see it better in this pic of my new bike. It just pops on and off into rubber cups inside the extensions with metal balls on the back of the protector.

I have the xs320 on my tenere, it fits perfect and doesn't foul anything, even the slopping underside matches the teneres tank shape

I'd love to see a picture.
Here you go, the blue bike was mine, the black bike is a photo I got sent when I asked the exact same question as you did.
I'd had the yamaha bag, and an sw motech before and for me the xs320 and givi lock system is easily my favourite.

Cool concept I wonder why they don’t sell them in the USA????

Because it's not DOT certified. I have one too, ordered from a Canadian Yamaha dealer back in 2011. The Ride On product is the same Yamaha headlight protector. Easy to clean, no issues with mine in 140k miles.

On the tank bags, the Bags Connection SWMotech 'City" bag is very similar and uses their tank ring mount. You get the bag w/o holes and can position it however you want on the tank ring mount. FWIW... I have an extra set of tank ring mounts, both the bag side and the tank side, new, that I would let go for a reasonable price compared to retail. If you bought a bag, Givi or SWMotech Bags Connection, these would complete the system. PM me if interested.

I have had 2 tank lock bags on. My latest is a XS305. It is big but I stuff soft things and valuables in it, and have a long strap to carry it like a gym bag when I am seeing attractions, or going in the restaurant.
