Sorry for creating new topic. Problem simse to be somewhere else so I want to see if someone else had this issue.

2012 Tenere 1200. 43 000 miles

Bike starts pretty hard, from second or third time. Run for 10-20 sec and than shutting down. It happened on the way home. Took me like half an hour to start it. I let it run for 10 min and made back home.

It used to shut down randomly in the first 5 min of riding once in a while in the last half a year. So it's something that progressed through month.

Battery, Air filter and Spurk plugs are new.

I did clean and lube ignition, it didn't work out. Anyone had this problem before?

This is a pretty common problem when the bike is started from cold and then shut off before allowing it to warm, but it sounds like you are also having this issue when the engine is warmed? There's a recall for some ECU wiring that fixes a host of running issues. Has that been done? What is the specification of the new battery you installed? The OEM 210 CCA spec battery is barely adequate when new in my experience/opinion.

wiring recall was done.

I bought this battery https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01254STPQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And it worked with it just fine for couple of month. Very unlikely it could be a problem. I mean if that's the problem I would be happy to replace it but for what? :)

I'm with Mr. Bertrand. Common. I learned, by trial and error, to not start it, and then turn it off. Unless you don't plan on restarting it for awhile. Now, I make sure that I won't have to turn it off before I get to where I'm going. I've also learned to stay on the start button until she fires. Every-so-often she doesn't fire immediately. The first couple of times it happened, I released the start button. . . . and had trouble getting it started. Now, when she hesitates, I just let her keep cranking. Usually not more than two seconds, before she fires.

You posted a code 19 side/kick stand switch error code on your other thread, so I don't see the point of starting a new thread here TBH.

The stand switch, which links with the clutch switch, stops the bike being run when in gear with the stand down & the clutch out. It is a common problem for many bikes of a certain age, not just the S10. Has this been eliminated? The switches can of course be bypassed to test the theory.

As to the battery, we recommend a YTZ14S is fitted where available - the 12 is barely adequate as WJB says. Still, if you are confident that your new battery is holding up, that's fine - sometimes, with repeated hard starts, batteries soon deteriorate.

I thought if I had a problem with that than my bike would imidiatly shot down when I put it in gear. But it allow me to drive and shift for sometime and than stop reacting on throttle and show down.
Also what makes it shotdown when it's just warming up standing still?

I'll by pass it thought to eliminate that as well.

Thank you .
