2nd owner of a '12. It's my happy place! Just had a woman tell me "that really is a beautiful motorcycle" I have to agree. Took 3 hours to clean it that day.

My original PDP bike has been gone since February 2017 when we got DM her 2017 Tenere.

Tevor, your post got me to go through Romney's Facebook photos to see what was out there. There were a bunch of us in that first batch.
Ahhhh there we are - all so young, fresh-faced and innocent :p

LOL - You look so young in that photo and the bike was - was - was - CLEAN!

As you know, I sold the black 12 when a too-good deal came up on a nearly new blue 2014. Still enjoy following your travels on FB. A little over 2 weeks and I'll be able to take off and travel too.
Good for you. I've been retired for 1 1/2 years now and don't miss work at all. Congrats and enjoy.
Now back on topic !

Just came across this! Some might remember - we raised money for Japanese tsunami relief, and sent this poster to the workers who finally got our bikes to us, after a 5 month delay due to the tsunami. Somewhere there is a photo of the workers at the factory, grouped around a Super Tenere, and holding this poster! Probably still in the archives...

Still enjoy riding my 2012 PDP. It's only needed tires, a battery, and a cam chain tensioner in its 28000 miles. I sometimes wish it had more power but then realize it does, I just need to crack the throttle open more. But I have other bikes for that purpose anyway. My only other wish would be for cruise control for those occasional long stretches of highway.

Sadly, my PDP bike was totaled when I threw it down the interstate in the rain. But I replaced it with a '15 ES, which is even better. Combined mileage is a bit over 91,000 miles now.

I also follow Trevor on FB. In addition to cool travels, he does a lot of good for people. I'm proud to "internet-know" him. Just one side benefit of getting a Super Ten and joining this forum.

Get you a McCruise. I got one at 50k. Feel like slapping myself for not doin it sooner.
