I haven't used my heated gloves since I got my Tusk mitts $25. My major drawback with my hot gloves was not being able to use a touch screen and couldn't do hardly anything with them on. If I was to go on a long cold trip. I would probably bring them in case of a freezing rain though.
wow that sounds like a very nice deal ! Guess maybe I should have shopped around a little more before buying my OBR ADV Gear Mitts but I was worried some of those other brands might not fit the Tenere properly.

heated gloves arent out of the question, just seems a bit redundant with heated grips.
I have had a pair of Gerbing heated gloves for some time. I find that with them, and heated grips, they are a good complement for fall/winter/spring riding. I don't care for riding with the heated gloves unless I need them. Just too bulky for me (at least the ones I have), although regular winter gloves can be worse. Heated grips are great for the short run, or for me, temps in the mid 40's and above. If I am going out and it is colder, then the heated gloves go on. There is nothing better then wearing heated gloves on a really cold day.

My past 300 miles have been mostly below freezing wearing summer gloves plenty comfortable, since my first motorcycle equipped with heated grips back in about 1995 I have never even considered not having heated grips.
for me heated gloves would be nice but messing with the extra wires is just to much extra hassle that I prefer not to deal with.

+ Me too. This is my 1st bike with heated grips. Between the mitts and heated grips, it's plenty warm with summer gloves.

I do have to say old habits don't die though. I try to keep my lightweight Klim Inversion gloves with me in in the winter time.

I’ve been using these Grip Mitts on my Tenere for a couple years.
https://obradvgear.com/enduro-grip-mitt/
they fit pretty nice, two sets of simple velcro straps hold each mitt in place over the original factory hand guards. My main reason for buying them was to help keep my gloves dry when riding in the rain, so far they have done that pretty well but honestly for some reason I have been pretty lucky not to ride in heavy rain since getting the Mitts. They do seem to help quite a bit in cold weather. It takes about 5 minutes to install or remove them.
I've also been using these for several years and have been very happy with them. A great addition to heated grips for the cooler seasons.

-Or budget friendly , just to create a pocket of air over the grips : Moose racing foam

Looking to extend my riding season by getting my hands out of the wind. My friends swear by them for ice riding but im having difficulty finding ones to fit over the OEM hand guards.
Ive ordered a couple already but have had to send them back due to fitment issues.
Anyone have a set that they use and can point me in a direction?
Check out the Alcans, They have a large front panel to accommodate large ADV style hand guards. And they are super warm.

well I think it’s very nice that they joined, if you click on the link in his only post you can get a $30 discount on a pair of Hippo Hands Roque Mitts, $100 instead of $130 and FREE SHIPPING !
What am I missing, I do not see a $30 discount when I pick the Rogue Mitts.
I used the link for yamahasupertenere.com and I see the free domestic shipping, then when I go to checkout I see a YAMAHASUPERTENERE.COM member discount of $6.49.

No problem with my controls on my Tusk mittsView attachment 61258
mine dont look like that
That’s strange. I guess they change the design then. This is the view of my Tusks View attachment 61274View attachment 61275The opening has a metal frame and is fuse together on mine. That was the reason why I looked for an alternative. Here is the link to the ones that don’t work for me on the S10.
this is what i got. looks like they are going back to RMATV.

these are definitely the high water mark it seems. even with the discount, $100+ is a tough pill to swallow.
