Guatemala Trip -

Not an actual event, but didn't see a forum for rides. I'll be doing a 1 way trip to Guatemala in late March going down the Gulf of Mexico side. 2nd time doing the trip and we are fluent in Spanish as well.
In case anyone is going that way or has interest. Will be doing around 6 to 8 hours a day, nothing extreme.

This is killing me! Just took a new job in Lincoln City, OR and have to build some time off......... I spent a few weeks in Flores on a Medical Mission and the People were great- my spanglish is rough, so going with native speakers would be fantastic. Thanks for the posting- hopefully this is not a one off trip-if going again, I am in!! Thanks much, Campbell

Flores is one of our favorite places in Guatemala. Clean and safe. We are planning a trip there with a good friend from Guatemala and were just talking about it. My story is, I went on a two week vacation to Guatemala in 2013, and I ended up staying for five years. Fell in love with the country, and later with my wife.
We are moving back permanent in April time frame, starting a BBQ and Selft Serve Tap room in Antigua Guatemala with 60 beers from all over Central America. The name of the restaurant is Las Tres Amigas, and the amigas are: Amistad, Barbacoa, Cerveza (Friendship, BBQ, Beer).
It won't be our last time for sure. But my guess is the restaurant will dictate our future for the next foreseeable future.

Ah nice. I just left the city and now I'm in Antigua seriously though, we are here until Feb 20th, had dinner in the city a few nights ago.
If you are not familiar with the city and need some restaurant recommendations let me know.
