Howdy all ,
To all the folks here who told me about Grip Puppies , Thank You soooo Much !!!! I should have purchased these the day I got my YST !!! My hands were getting so sore and fatigued with those small motocross style grips , but all that has changed now that I put the Grip Puppies on my YST. Thanks again guys , I really really appreciate the tip you gave me on these.
I followed the directions and they went on without much trouble at all. I did have to tap the end of the grip puppie with an open hand to force air into it , but after I did that they slide right on.
For those who haven't heard about Grip Puppies yet , check them out there. They only cost me $12.62 with shipping . A real cheap fix !! http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GPSMALL&Category_Code=grips

I went with the Grip Puppies for a few reasons. ( 1 ) The guys here who have used them said they hold up well , they had used them on other bikes, and they were happy with them . ( 2 ) they said they were comfortable , and they are . ( 3 ) Grip Puppies were less then half the price of Grip Buddies . and ( 4 ) I knew the seam from the Grip Buddies would bother me no matter where I placed it , I liked the seamless design of the Grip Puppies better . :)

I've run them on my last two bikes and couldn't be happier. And the price can't be beat!

I tried the grip puppies but still had sore wrists. Carpal tunnel issues i think. Anyway I cut the middle out of the grip puppies and now they are perfect. A lot cheaper than speciality gloves that leave rom for the ulnar nerve.

You're welcome!

They're great aren't they, I do a lot of long distance riding and no more sore hands. Although I need to get another couple of pairs for my other bikes now. ::022::

Cheers,
Dave.

I keep a spare set in the tool box for when they start losing their cushion - I've got 18 months of riding in all weather conditions on my current set, and they're still going strong. I would only get about 12 months on my VFR (more of my weight on the bars) before they started giving out.

For $10.00 they just can't be beat...

Thanks again Dave . After just over 100 miles yesterday on my YST , my hands feel great. You guys were SPOT - ON with your assessment on these Grip Puppies.

Creggur ,
+1 on that . I will be purchasing a spare set or two to have on hand. Love these things :)

Hammabone ,
Those look nice , but I don't like seams . Seems no matter where I place the seam it gets in the way and aggravates me . I prefer seamless .

Thanks again Folks . I'm one happy man ::001::

I've been using these "Grip Buddies" on my S10, and in the past, other bikes. They are more expensive than the sponge type but I find they are easier to fit as they wrap around and last longer.

I found an extra pair of these new in the package among the stuff in my farkle box. Not sure where I got them? Maybe a door prize at a WeSTOC rally somewhere? Anyway, I fitted them my super Ténéré and they seem to have banished a problem I was having with hand cramps. The lager diameter also helps a little with fine throttle control.

Grab On Universal Grip Covers are pretty much the same as Grip Puppies and can be found on ebay or other vendors for $12 or less.

I have been using a set of Grip Buddies on my S10 for over a year now and I like them very much.
They also work well with the Yammy grip warmer set-up.
