Just out of interest, members who live in London, what are you paying for insurance ?. Mine is kept off road but not garaged, 10yrs NCB, Value £7000. Carole Nash renewal £900 fully comp. I think this is robbery. The S10 is not a bike that gets stolen, riders tend to be mature. My belief is i am not insuring myself to ride my bike. I am subsidising other people.
Renewal price of £261 TPF&T, but bike is kept in a secure locked compound. Have difficulty insuring if I keep it outside my house on the street.

Bennetts was £937. I wont be paying that sort of money. Its robbery pure and simple.
I have stuck with Carole Nash for years and they have always managed to match any other premium that I was quoted. This time, I had a quote from Bennett’s which was literally half the price that Carole Nash was quoting so I went with Bennetts.

Where abouts is it stored?
I keep mine at Car Vault in Shoreditch for the same reason.
Only just saw this as I have been travelling, we probably pay the same storage bill every month in fact if I’m not wrong our bikes face each other.

I’m with Lexham @ £750 a year fully comp with two years NCB and £8000 value. Bike always parked in a locked storage facility. It has never once been left on the street at night. I ride it and it gets taken back to the storage facility every time (a real pain). So many big bikes get stolen in London that insurance really don’t differentiate much by make, only size and our bikes fit that bracket of large stealable performance bikes. It will get harder to insure in London in the future.

That’s some coincidence!
Lol, yes, quite a coincidence! I had said the same thing to John the manager when i dropped mine off the last time and had seen (yours) in the opposite bay. Perhaps a coffee meet one day down the street ?. Yours is the colour i wanted to get but found a mint 2016 with 3,300 miles in the "racing blue' colour scheme with the blue wheels and lots of extras. The colour has grown on me. I also have a mint original 1993 XTZ750 Super 10 i keep in there.

Sounds a good buy with that low mileage. I’ve seen your XTZ750 looks a great bike!

Should meet up for a coffee at some point

I travel a lot but next time I’m back in London will give you a shout. That 750 has a full service history and all its paperwork from the day it was sold in 1993. Apart from servicing It has rarely had a spanner on it. I sometimes look at it and wonder how it can be 30yrs old. Hopefully the 1200 lasts as long! Here are gratuitous shots of both bikes clearly showing their DNA.

Neat bikes, great colour combination on both!
Hopefully can meet up when you are around. I travel a fair amount down to Dorset but hopefully they’ll be a weekend that suits us both.

I had to go across to Car Vault Shoreditch today, saw your bike and it is quite a remarkable coincidence that our bikes are parked in opposite bays!
Nice looking bike BTW, really like that colour combination

All the bays in that place and as you say they end up opposite each other keeping good company ! hoping to take it to Portugal or Morocco soon to get some dirt on it, it’s too clean! Will buzz you when I get back and we will grab that coffee.
