Well, like a lot of others, I am salivating of this announcement. Thank you administrators for creating this forum. I visited my local Yamaha dealer on Friday, and he has already sold one (taken a deposit on a black). He has ordered a blue one for a demo.

I have been riding for 40+ years and currently own a V-Strom DL650, which I love. The Tenere would make a great stablemate. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you.

Hey Brent, thanks for stopping by. I'm happy you like the site.

My thoughts are somewhat like yours right now in that I am thinking of a Tenere as a stablemate for my Tiger 1050. I want something that is a little better on dirt roads for when I tour off the beaten path a bit. Although once the Tenere hits the US shores anything might happen. Personally, I think I'm going to wait for a test ride next year before making any final decisions.
