Great polish for stainless steel and aluminum

One thing that's bugged me since I got the bike was the stainless steel pipes. Mine had 3 or 4 big blemishes that looked like big finger prints on the head pipes. So I tried Noxon polish, Simichrome, Mothers polish in all different varieties, tried some of my wife's polish for jewelry, even tried blue away. Nothing made one bit of difference despite all the hand rubbing wasted time. I read on different forums about Busch polish and how great it works, but polish is polish right? Wrong. I spent 5 minutes polishing my head pipes by hand and my spots are gone and they shine like never before. Highly recommended. Hard to find. Not at auto supply chains. Some truck stops carry it. I couldn't find it so ordered it direct. Cost $25 with shipping, but what the heck. It flat works where other stuff is generally a waste of time and effort.

Something is wrong here. Polish and Adventure bikes does not go together.
This may be in the wrong forum. Mud, scratches dings, Trail History Badges but NO POLISH!

Come to my garage I have a Harley you can Polish just don't touch my Tener'e

I panic when I take it in to the dealer for service, just don't clean it.

I agree no polish just rainstorms. My dealer was setting up a new Tenere today hard to believe mine was ever that shiny and clean.

The best way to clean stainless is with Muriatic acid (pool Ph). Follow the instructions on dilution wipe with a sponge in a well ventilated area.

This is for stainless only so protect all painted surfaces. It removes all surface contaminanance and leaves the surface clean.

???
Are all "stainless steel cleaners" safe for stainless steel?
No, some products whose labels identify them as a "stainless steel cleaner" contain chlorides or acids that can cause stainless steel corrosion. It is especially important to avoid any cleaner that contains hydrochloric acid (also called Muriatic acid). Other “stainless steel cleaners” contain coarse abrasives that will scratch the finish.
Do not assume that a product is appropriate because of its "stainless steel cleaner" label. Check the ingredients and, if necessary, test the cleaner on a low visibility spot before use.

And any bugs that contain hydrochloric acid as well. I am sure that some bugs contain hydrochloric acid.

Most polish used to clean the common STS grades contain acid and leave a coating . We were talking about cleaning the exhaust pipe I thought. I have been using Muriatic acid to clean marine and structural grades for stainless for thirty years.

The stainless on my sailboat shines and not from POLISH I have owned this one for sixteen years.

Stainless tarnishes when it comes in to contact with carbon steel some thing the Tenere has to much of.

The pipes on mine have an even brownish tinge to them the acid only removes microns of material and leaves no residue.
