I'm the guy that will be asking all the questions ( that have already been answered a million times in this forum ! ) . Yes , I did post up on Stromtrooper : " How do you set the clock ? " Those burns have mostly healed , thanks .

Please forgive my ignorance and computer illiteracy , I will gladly buy you a beer when we meet at the next rally .

So far , I have implemented the free seat lowering mod , purchased Mitas E07 tires , and dug into the wiring . ( haven't cut any wires yet ... just staring at the rat's nest makes my testicles retract a bit ) . Changed the oil and gear lube , ridden a bit , planning some longer rides ...

Welcome from Texas. If yours is an ES, then your future questions will likely include "what settings do I use". MY answer is experiment. See what works for you. Your weight, and riding style, will determine YOUR setting(s). I use 200lbs, ish, per helmet, and 50lbs, ish, for luggage, as a starting point. Now, if you don't have an ES, ignore everything I just said.

And off road I use two helmets and sometimes two helmets with luggage to help with bottoming out the skid plate.

Okay , Maybe I'll have trouble buying ALL of you a beer !

Thanks for the warm welcome , I bought my 2017 ES model lightly used but well equipped . I hope to put about 20,000 km per year on it , as I did with my VStrom in the past .

My first impressions are of immense power , but less nimble than the 650 'Strom . I've go to get a few thousand km on it to really get to know it .

Welcome from Kansas. I almost pulled the trigger on a strom a few years ago. I have never been disappointed with the tenere. Hope you enjoy the adventure.

Congrats on the new ride and while it may feel "immensely" powerful (after riding a Wee), the engine is really rather tame and very understressed. Good luck with all those K's during your short riding season. I'm sure they will fly by and you'll have a sh!t eating grin in the process. Enjoy!

I don't believe you, pictures please ;)
Congrats on the bike, I had considered the Strom, had taken one out a few times but just preferred the shaft drive of the S10.
I have about 150km on my 2018 so I have no opinion or knowledge. Lol!

Welcome, I am somewhat in the same boat. I have purchased lights, fuse block, relays, a horn, and a cool crash bar. I have a dash plate to install, a GPS, and an extra charge port for my cell phone. I don't know where to begin. So I have been riding it with just the Bumot panniers, I did figure out how to mount those, so I could bring home the beer.

Welome! I'm new here this year and made the Wee-Strom to Super Tenere move last year. I am loving it!

Cheers!
