i`ve got a buddy that is going to put my new springs in for me. We were thinking about drilling and maybe changing some shims. Would it be a big improvement to just spend the money on the gold valve kit over drilling ?

I just bought the gold valves so I guess it doesn't matter now. I aslo bought 95kg springs and the used Cogent shock that was for sale on here . I should be to go once my buddy works on my forks . ::012::

No harm in trying to revalve the stock stuff, but if I was going to spend money on new comp/rebound pistons I would contact Stoltec and get a set of their Penske valves instead. I think price is similar for much better product in my opinion.

I used the Gold-valves on compression and rebound in my fork, and I am very happy with the result. Nothing against any other combo, I just had more experience with the Race-tech stuff.

I'm curious on how the valve installation is done if not drilling. I need to do this upgrade and get new front springs. I already have a cogent rear shock and the bike seems pretty unbalanced still running the stock front.

I found a good deal on the gold compression valve. I probably wouldn't have paid full price. I'll probably pass on the rebound valve unless I find another cheap deal.
My forks feel worse now that I have the cogent shock on .

Can the gold valves or Penske valves be fitted to ES forks? Or are these modifications only for the regular forks?
