Hi guys, I went a slightly different route when mounting my toolbox. I wanted to mount it on the inside of the givi luggage racks in the void on the right hand side (when looking at the bike from behind). I thought it was a good safe spot, and would add a sense of 'balance' to the exhaust on the other side. Rather than using a frame adaptor, I went for a direct-mount to the givi frame. I drilled 3 holes in the givi frame for an M8 threaded bolt (or 1/4" depending where you are). These lined up with the mounting holes positioned on the tool box. I mounted the box slightly forward on the rack so the front two vertical holes would mount to the front vertical support of the frame. In doing so, there is plenty of clearance between the back of the rack, the tail light, and the tool box door. In fact you can open the door completely and easily without touching anything. The trick is to manoeuvre your hand in there to get the key in the slot. I have bulky hands but can get it to work fine. The rear bottom mount is attached to the frame using a piece of 3/16 aluminum I cut from some scrap I had here. Everything is offset from the frame by approx. 1/4". Despite only being attached with 3 mounting points it is rock solid. I have no apprehensions of packing it full of tools and hitting rough terrain. The tool box is structurally very solid and supports itself in that regard. I've attached a number of pics that show my solution. Apologies everything is dirty, I don't clean the bike all that much since it's been wet here lately. Hope this may help someone looking for an alternative!
