can,t see a picture of switch so depends, i have 2 sepereate switches mounted to my handle bars but they came with that type of switch,
if its a flat rocker switch that can mount anywhere thats flat by the 12v auxillary socket or other side etc would help seeing the switch

I removed the cigarette lighter socket because its useless and fitted my fogs switch there. I used the cigarette lighter socket wiring to hook up the sat nav.

this set similar as the wiring harness and light protectors

Yes, much better, it has the relay and the switch. I'll have to find a nice flat bit to mount the switch

I have a system in place on my longer trips, I have a big capacity battery pack that I charge on the road (I need the cigarette lighter for a plug in USB twin outlet power supply for that) then at the end of the day, I charge everything from the pack.
So great idea, but it won't work for me I'm afraid.
I'll find somewhere on the bike to mount it, but I do wonder how waterproof the switch itself is.

I have SAE pigtail for heated gear and I run my battery tender through it. Another one runs up tucked under the seat. I can plug into that another SAE lead which I can run into the Top Box with a SAE USB charger where I can charge stuff. A USB Battery pack is handy for when im off grid so I can use my Tablet and charge batteries for my Radio, Comms, Phone ETC. Much tidier and it doesn't get wet. I like to have some back up if the bike battery goes kaput. So I can use my phone and recharge it. I run two separate fused lines so if one goes i can still run the heated gear and use the Eelectric Air Pump without having to lark about changing the fuse.

Bought lights off that link, I'll see about mounting them and switch. I do like the SW Motech mounts you showed in that link Rob.

yes the sw motech mounts are superb, but i looked at those bmw fog replica lights and they won,t work with them

Thanks Rob, I did try and get an exploded view but the LED manufacturer/seller just give undetailed photos, so as Jiivee has said, I may have to get a friend in the welding game to make up something or adapt the SW Motech mounts in order to fit.
The important bit of course is getting some downward angling so as not to dazzle.

same as mine, but I think mine's a dud, preliminary tests have shown they won't light up...I'll test more, that battery was a bit low.
