I got mine mounted yesterday. I put a slight bend in them so they would clear the side deflectors and line up straight with the mounts. Unreal how much of a difference they make to the rigidity of the mount. Solid as a rock now, a very worthwhile mod.

LOL...thanks for noticing. The brackets run $315 for 50, $12.60/set. Basically a learning experience for me. Maybe it will evolve into something profitable. For now, I'm just happy helping people out.

I know I am grateful. They are much nicer than what I was going to make up from a strip of 1/16" x 1" aluminum.

For anyone with a Gen2 bike, what are you waiting for? Get these, well worth the money and they work, even if you don't use the accessory bar, it will give an added rigidity that will help if you ever get a taller screen. Many Thanks Propsoto ::008::

Mine appear to be defective. They meet the windshield bracket at a 20 degree angle and would cause the plastic bracket to snap if installed as instructed. Had to manually bend the brace so that it met the windshield bracket at a 0 degree angle

They're not defective, there will be a little curve to it after installing but nothing is going to snap.

Have you tried switching left to right? Once the bottom are in, the top (fork part) runs parallel to the screen adjuster.............

First thing I tried, and no it did not run parallel. It actually caused the piece that moves up and down to bend and flex to the point where the position peg popped out. It makes sense too from a geometry stand point. Deflector mounting base does not share the same plane as the windshield adjuster bracket, so why would a flat brace that is co-planar line up?

The attached pic should help.

No he is referring to the vertical plane when viewed from the rear. The the windscreen mount is on a narrower plane than the mount for the side deflectors. I noticed this as soon as I started to install mine and put a slight bend it them as well. This does not make them "defective", you just need to align them during installation. Not a problem. It would be much too time consuming for Tom to take every set out to his bike and put a little bend in them so they align perfect. Just do it when you install them and be done with it.

Yeah I guess defective is the wrong term as these function perfectly. As for the bending, its not that hard but if you're not careful you can bend both sides in different spots causing an ugly sppearance It also leaves a ripple in the powdercoat if your bend radius is too tight. To be fair though if he wanted to pre-bend the parts all he'd need to do is make a wooden fixture.
