I'll be buying a Zumo XT to replace my Montana 680 soon. The 680 screen is getting a little hard to see at age 60. Love the Montana but need the larger screen. Has anyone mounted the Zumo XT to the Tenere? I'd love to see mounting ideas.
Thanks

I just stuck it on the nav bar where it belongs using the Ram Mount parts that came with the unit. (Ignore the good looking guy in the mirror and the slightly bug-covered windscreen.)

Went with the Ram bar mount and a medium length bar. Super clear, easy reading with poor eye sight and glasses, out of the way of the tank bag.

On the Tenere using the horizontal bar is it possible to set up the XT in portrait view? Or will it hit the windscreen?
Thanks

If it does just get an extension.

This ^ Actually, the Ram Mount include with the unit allows portrait mode on the S10 with no problems....I'll get a pic as soon as I walk out to the garage.
A picture would be great. I'm used to my Montana being portrait. I'm sure I can rig something up but out of the box would be awesome.

Received a free brandnew Zumo XT in the mail about a month ago, took a while to find out where it came from but it was from one of my brothers.
Finally got around to mounting it on my Goldwing a couple days ago. Took it for a test ride yesterday and wow the XT screen is by far the best GPS screen I’ve ever seen !
I’ve never tried portrait mode but I will but suspect the keyboard will be much smaller so probably won’t like it.
So far my only complaint about it is the external speaker should be much louder.
My old GPS is the way over priced Zumo 595, and it has the worst screen I have ever seen on a GPS. Before the 595 I used a Nuvi 1450 for over 300,000 miles but got tired of messing with plastic bags every time it rained, the screen on the 1450 was faaaar superior to the 595 but the XT is even better.
Garmin tech needs to wake up and realize many folks want a louder external speaker and not have to spend hundreds of dollars for Bluetooth.
