I have been looking at the various garage style tents available (Lone Rider, Vuz Moto tent, Quechua Arpenaz 4.1 ) and they all dont seem to pack very small. Ideally I would like to store the tenant in a givi pannier. The tents mentioned seem to pack down to about 23" length which is too long to fit in a pannier.
I am curious as to what the limiting factor is, if the poles are packed separately, can these style tents be packed smaller (compression sack for example) or is it the fabric etc of the tent itself that cannot be packed smaller ?
Yes, I know I can pack the tent across my pillion seat or on the pannier or somewhere else, Im not looking to do that though, hence my question.. and I dont really want to debate why anyone would want to put a bike inside a tent either if I can help it LOL.
