Ordered a pair of Gaerne Balanced oiled boots after going back and forth between the Forma Terra and these. I don't like much of a heel and like to be able to feel the pegs through the boot a little.

I'll post again after I get to try them out for a bit.

I agree. Hey Taskmaster I also had a 2008 KLR that I sold....after I bought my S10. It was a great bike!

The boots are great. feel great on the pegs and once they break in it will be even more comfortable to shift andf brake. Won't have to adjust shifter or brake controls either I don't think.

They pretty good to walk around in too.

I bought a pair last month and have about 1,500 miles on them...while they are the first dedicated moto boots I've owned they are certainly living up to their 'hype' so far.

I did notice some scratches on the leather of my left boot after my ride. right on the inside of the boot leather by my arch. must be scrapng it on the shifter or something. Have to pay attention next ride to figure out if that can be prevented.

Turns out I am scraping my instep on the shifter. Its the way hold my foot on the footpeg, I guess. too close and under the shift lever. See if I can't break this habit as it does not happen on my right boot from the brake.

It is not just these boots either - I looked at the Oxford's I have and they have the same gauges/scrapes in them from where I was doing it with them also,.

Wasn't catching boot on shifter - not what was gouging up the instep of my left boot. I was catchhing the instep on the sharp teeth of the altrider foot on my sidestand when I was raising/lowering it (I am a dumbass).

These boots are pretty much broke in. They ROCK!!
