The buyer of Fancy passed on the Grok. Since it was bought and used on a Tenere... I am listing it here rather than at ADVrider. Will cross-post over there after a week here, if it lasts that long...

You can have it for net to me $300 via PayPal shipped. Located in Roanoke, VA

What in the hell is a Grok Harmonizer?

https://advrider.com/f/threads/harmonizer-multi-tool.1327370/#post-36064398

Is it made of unobtanium?

That's a bit steep isn't it?
Actually $500 million for the Mona Lisa would be a bargain.

The numbers estimating Mona Lisa’s current value at $782 million based on a $100 million assessment in 1962 probably underestimate its value. That number, as much as it is, is based on inflation statistics - and the price of fine art has outpaced inflation. I wouldn't be surprised by an assessment of a billion dollars.

But I'm not talking about the Mona Lisa, I'm talking about the harmonizer. The harmonizer is in effect a digital manometer, a computerized version of a diy $30 ish tool. Making mine cost more like $10 and I got spare line to use as an emergency siphon out of it.

People are free to ask what they like for their parts and the market decides if it's too high. It's called capitalism.

When I sold my new Harmonizer on advrider I asked $280 shipped from JP, got a lot of interest and it sold in a day. I could have gotten more for it.

Why not start a thread on your manometer, I'm sure there'd be a lot of interest in it.

Absolutely he can ask what he wants, was just saying it seemed a bit high wasn't really criticizing.

Why? There's a million ways to skin that cat and most of em are already on the internet.

No. You were criticizing. Not that I give a shit but please at least own up to your price policing.

But to be clear.... it was perfectly OK for Groks family to sell the remaining Harmonizers about 3 years ago for $300 but it is greedy capitalism for me to offer them up for the same amount today.

LOL you can call it what you want I thought it was steep for my blood and I said so. Please note I wasn't the first or only to do so, just because you took it the wrong way doesn't mean it was meant the wrong way. If you get $300 for that good on you, rock on dude, I'm just a dumbass aircraft mechanic who likes keeping stuff simple stupid.. Wasn't really trying to start shit or make enemies either, still aren't but fuck it it's the internet everyone gets all sensitive and fighty for no reason, so be it.

Tell you what, I honestly didn't mean anything negative and this pointless back and forth from all parties has devolved your FS: thread into not a FS: thread. I'll offer you $125 plus cost of shipping, if nobody else claims it at $300 that's my buy offer.

Like anything, supply and demand dictate price. They are hard to get, and those that have one know what they have. There is nothing else like it and probably never will be. I was lucky enough to get one on ebay, and that was 2yrs ago. There has not been another one sold on ebay since.
You can make your own out of fuel lines, use a Morgan carb tune, any other tool and trust me, those tools won't do the same thing. "Good enough" is all they do.

I can't resist...One of these was for sale awhile back for a "premium" price. When I made a comment about it, an Admin here replied " then don't buy it!" I didn't. There are much cheaper ways to achieve the same result. Good luck with the sale though. I'm sure someone will "have to have it". And, you're welcome for the bump in the thread:)

Also...

Some did not think "it was perfectly ok". There was some discussion over on advrider that frowned upon it. When his family (daughter) used the forum to advertise for ebay, the thread was closed.

I was fortunate enough to discover the device early on and bought one from the builder. I still have it and it will not be for sale. It does work better than anything else. Except maybe mercury sticks, but who has mercury any more?

I have used it on both the Super Tenere and the FJR, works sweet.

OP. ignore the static, good luck on your sale. Someone will come by that wanted one and missed out.

Yeah, you can't mention Ebay in advrider ads. But last July they listed the final four Harmonizers and und a thread on for $300 plus shipping. Sold out in a day.

Mercury sticks are like watching a 1955 B/W TV vs a new TV. Same can be said of sync of other means compared to the Harmonizer. Guys that say "you can do the same thing" with other means are flat wrong. You can do good enough with other means, but really good enough would be to not even bother doing for majority of riders. You have to own one to appreciate and understand.

Didn't that sell for close to $100 new?
They did and anyone is welcome to buy it at the asking price. I can't imagine why anyone would want it though? It is nothing special and can do no more than a TecMate, Carb Tune Pro, Twinmax or any other balancer will do.

IMHO, a lot of sellers are trying to cash in on the death of the inventor of this product. Very greedy and sad.

I have to respectively disagree Ron. It's all about the person properly using the tool. Mercury sticks are just a bit more finicky but will have the same results as a fancy electronic harmonizer.

Like I said, you have to use one to appeciate the difference over other methods. I first used a Morgan Carbtune that is a good tool. It told me I had to back out one of the screws about 1/4 turn and it showed the sync was perfect. I then got the Harmonizer, and it told me to turn that screw back in 1/4 turn. 1/4 turn is probably a moot point, maybe not even worth adjusting, but I still found it interesting.

Some people wear $50 helmets and $25 gloves, and others wear $900 helmets and $200 gloves. Some fix their own bikes and others pay someone else. And some fixers use Harbor Freight tools while others use Snap On. It's all a matter of taste and perspective. Just because one person's preference is better for that person, it isn't necessarily better for someone else. Just different. Which is cool. Trikepilot is asking a market-proven price for something that some of us think is worth that much.
