Front tire worn before rear

I can try to get pictures up later, but for the first time in my life, I have completely worn out a front tire with ~50% left on the rear (both tires installed together) after ~4k miles.

Running Pirelli Scorpion Trails (can't remember number but will look).

Anyone else run into this? Normal for a heavy bike if I spend lots of time turning hard? It's not like I don't blast the throttle either.

Any insight or advice appreciated - I have the advrider bars on but not much else, maybe I need to adjust suspension or something? Or is this just normal for adv?

. . . . Anyone else run into this? . . . .
I ran into this when I was running the Bridgestone A41. Front was toast while my rear had about 20% left. Normally it's a straight up 2 rears to 1 front. I changed to a set of Dunlop Road Smart IIIs. Back to normal. Wore out the rear and have about 50% left on front. My rear tire is now a Michelin PR 6. Like it. Might even change the front out early to match the Michelin's tendencies. Was never really happy with the Dunlops.

My 2022 R1250GS came with a set of Bridgestone A41 tires and the front was done at 6000 miles. I just replaced the rear at 7300 miles for an upcoming trip. I used to wear out front tires before rears on my ST1300. I usually run Bridgestone BattleWings (OEM E spec) on my S10……12-13,000 miles on a front and 7-9000 on a rear.

I think you answered your own question. Diving hard into corners will chew up a front tire in no time. Depends on how aggressive you are. I have run a set of Scorpion Trail IIs and got ~11K miles on the set including a trip to 3-36-96-299 NorCal twisties.

I ride the same, day-in, day-out. I agree that front tires will wear faster when driven aggressively, and she's no featherweight. And I think the A41 is works better for lighter bikes, even though all their pics show them on heavyweights. I'll see how the Michelins work out.

Over 45k miles my fronts have worn at more or less the same rate as the rears, usually 5-6k miles. Can only remember changing them as pairs. Previous bikes I’ve owned were usually 2 rears to one front.
