Has anyone had to replace the front stay (part 23P-28356-01-00) on their ST? I have a 2019 ES (Cdn) model and broke both the upper plastic arms in a low speed fall. (Sections the windshield bracket assembly connects to.)
No other damage except a scuff on my right-side crash bar.
The last post in this thread (https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/removing-front-fairing.23449/page-2) questioned whether the ignition or the top of the triple tree had to be removed to access one bolt. No one ever answered, and I was unable to find any detail elsewhere.
I have the service manual, and from the diagram it looks like I'd probably have to remove the headlight assembly, but there is no detail on the front stay itself.
Since I'm not the most technically adept, looking for advice from more experienced mechanics whether I should be attempting this or just trying to find a shop to fix?
Thanks.
