Can you feel those scratches with your fingernail? I used to rebuild aircraft landing gear, we would chuck up the cylinder in a lathe and use Scotchbrite pads to crosshatch them. Helped clean up some small imperfections.

I can feel my fingernail catch, but it's not overly deep, but it appears there might be a few of them around the tube.

That polishing was an idea I had floated out in an earlier post, but the thought was that the inner tubes are "Plated", not polished and if so that wouldn't be able to fix the issue.

no,

not used these but i know yoy can buy the chrome tube only for the xt1200, it means you have to take the black lower legs off both your forks and put them on the new chrome legs,
but no i put those up as a example

We tried that on the Zx14r legs but were unable to remove the feet. Seemed to be using some sort of very strong thread sealant. Even heat would not help. Don’t know if the s10 is the same
