Last time I had fork seals done the dealer said I may have continued leakage problems due to some wear spots on the chrome. Are there better aftermarket options for the tubes? Or just get some used tubes? Thoughts?

There are a number of fork re-chroming services out there if you google it. I think I'd explore the costs of that before springing for new parts.

You can also check RaceTech for fork tubes. They sell NTT (?) fork tubes. 43 mm KYBs are pretty popular, so you should be able to find replacements if the re-coating doesn't work.

It's pretty routine for the MX guys to send their fork tubes out for DLC (Diamond-like Coating) treatments. For example, http://www.rg3suspension.com/coatings.htm.
