So I imagine a bunch of folks are feeling pretty crappy today since it looks like the shiny new Super Teneres will be delayed a bit more than we thought. When I heard (read rather) the news I thought to myself, "self, what can I do to make some lemonade out of this batch of lemons?" Well, since we're on such a kick in the other thread of designing fancy stickers to put on our panniers I decided to go ahead and design something up to commemorate this crappy event and turn some frowns upside down (or slightly less down, if you're from New York).

So, without further ado, I give to you, the limited edition commemorative "I stuck it the hell out and won!" YamahaSuperTenere.com DIE HARD pannier sticker!

These are on me, fellas. If you have an S10 on order and are going to stick it out (be honest now), send me your address and I'll mail you one of these sticky bits completely free, because I'm just that kind of guy and contrary to unpopular belief I intend to make a community out of this site and not just a raw information source.

Not sure when shipment will be, but they'll be out before the Tenere arrives, so don't sweat it.

I don't know if anyone is interested in this or not, but was wondering if Yamaha would be interested in coming up with a small, elegant decal that said Limited Edition or Charter Rider or something like that. I dunno. Just a thought. I don't know any Yamaha big dogs. And maybe some folks wouldn't want this. But it would be nice, given all the soon to be history associated with this North American premiere of the Super Tenere. Seems like it should be marked as such. Okay, that's it from me. R

I like your desire to make this a community as well as a source of info. As Mellow can attest, the ST1100/1300 folks have had this for many years and they have several rallies, rides, get togethers each year. It is cool to be able to get to know folks you converse with on the forums and share a ride and a brew at the end of the day. I hope this site will be where that sort of thing takes root.

We still don't know what the word is from Yamaha Canada yet and won't for a few days, maybe by next week. So... :-\ I don't know where I sit on "sticking it out" - I did go look at a couple of nice late model low klik KLRs
