I do most of my rides before 9 am because of heat. or is it the humidity ? won't be long before we are crying for warmer weather. to me the best riding weather is between 40 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit...

going to play with the jets on the Suzuki carburetor .... being I'm a real man I plan to disregard the jet kit instructions and do it my way. it couldn't run any crappier just crappier in a different way. or I could get lucky.
will install the 155 main , needle on third position and air box mod. altitude here is 700 ft .
any suggestions I will consider. except the written instructions included with the jet kit. lol .

Which jet kit did you buy? There is literally tons of info on the forums about modifying the BST carburetor. Just like the oil, tire and ECU flashing threads here. DRriders, ADV rider, Youtube, Motolab are all good sources of info. There are lots of different ideas out there. My suggestions would be to check the float height, not shortening the spring, not drilling the slide, and not grinding the needle. Also, be aware if you bought a Dynojet kit, the jet size numbers are different than the Mikuni sizes. A 155 DJ jet is not the same size as a Mikuni 155. Have fun and keep those instructions handy!

So I pulled the snorkel off . Did a test ride. Off idle stumble went away. So my wife had some honey do’s for me . And I’m going to ride it like this for a few days just to see how it’s going to be. And now football.

I really don’t know much about carburetors but the few times I’ve taken them apart and put back together they mostly worked great.

Just a note you may already know but i put a different needle in my carb and used the original plastic spacer as a huge shim under the c clip on the needle. If you shim the needle there is a funny step at the bottom of the slide that holds the needle sideways if you dont file a flat on the shim. That may save you a little trouble later. Other than that it is just jetting like any other carb. It is a very easy carb to get right. Have fun piddling with it!
