Hello all!
Looking to upgrade my OEM footpegs. I saw a set this past summer- can't remember the name though- that had removable rubber inserts. I'm looking for wide pegs since I have size 11 off-road boots. Any suggestions, directions to where I can locate a set would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Whatever you get, buy the best quality you can buy. The last thing you want is to be standing on a peg made out of chineasum when it breaks.

I've had the Tusk ones on my bike for a few years now, my biggest complaint is the aggressive teeth catch my pant leg when deploying the side stand.

The stock ones are pretty weak, and I had one break off on a ride.

Not good either way, and a rude surprise when one does, but my understanding is they are designed to break to avoid the frame mount breaking instead.

I ride pivot pegs. I’ve really liked them. Maybe something to consider.

Years ago I added a bit more for all my dirt 'exercise'... They work excellent. For me- the way they pivot while standing allows me to move my body position around the bike quickly while navigating difficult off road terrain. I personally also wear the Gaerne SG12 boots. The pegs give me much more 'feel' with the shifter and brake pedal. In the very beginning they did take a little getting use too, now I love them, and have used them for almost ten years.

I have pivot pegs too. Love them till it's time to stand up.
What part dont you like on the standing? ive gone back and forth on pivot pegs.

the rear ward pivot i think would be odd when standing. the frontward pivot for brakes and shifting sounds great tho

I´m also looking for a set for my 2014 Tenere. However those SW-Motech ION footrest are only listed for bikes 2016 onwards.
I tried to ask them if they fit also my bike but the answer was simply "no".

Rocky Mountain ATV shows the same part numbers for all years of the OEM foot pegs. I have the SWM pegs pictured above on my 2013 and really like them. 15mm doesn't sound like much, but it makes a difference.

You´re right. I checked the part numbers for OEM footpegs for 2014 and 2017 models. They are the same. I wonder why SW-Motech isn´t interested in selling those footrest to earlier models?

yes,
if thet fit any xt1200, they will fit all xt1200 2010 to 2022 as the footpegs and mounts have not changed

After seeing the SW-Motech pegs could be lowered decided to pickup a pair.

after putting them on, it looks like i may need to trim the kick stand "wing" part a bit as now my heel would ride on it just a bit.
