I'm mostly a tequila drinker on the hard side. Cazadores Blanca and if I want to splurge I'll get some Grand Centenario Plata. I don't mind sipping whiskey, but I don't usually buy it. We keep some Makers Mark for guests. Good scotch is wasted on me for the most part.

When splurging.

More commonly.

Always moderately.

I’ve only had Corona a few times but never cared for it, these days my preference is Bud-light or Milwaukee’s Best Light. Beer and pizza together are great. A 30 pack of Bud Light usually lasts me about 6 weeks. Very rarely drink any hard stuff.

Tonight we slow cooked a 7.5 lb turkey breast that I picked up almost a year ago for 79 cents/lb. Took 4 days to thaw. Did a EVOO rub followed by a dry spice rub all over before going in the slow cooker. Came out incredibly juicy and tender with great flavor. Just some steamed veggies to go with. 7 hours on low in the slow cooker and 20 min in the oven at 400F to finish and brown up a bit. I literally had to grab a paper towel to stop the small river of juices when I started carving it. And it was on a grate in a roasting pan in the over portion, so I did not expect that much juice. A really good meal.

That turkey looks delicious. Can almost smell it. :p Tonight was the lasagna, with Vernors ginger ale. Used to be a Michigan only brand, but it finally made it's way to Texas. It's not the same as when I was a kid, but it beats the heck out of Canada Dry.

Looks great. Nice presentation too! Got to love protein and veggies with some rice. :)

We did turkey again.... shredded and mixed with tomato sauce and taco seasoning, white onions over brown basmati rice with a layer of re-fried beans, (low fat), & shredded Tillimook cheddar cheese on top. Served up with salad. Fuc**g awesome! Had a little bit of garlic and chili flakes as well. Sour cream and ranch with the greenery too. I added some more hot sauce to mine at the table.

Totally spaced taking pics during prep, so here is a lame pic of the leftovers.

 You had left overs?! And you call yourself a man. :D
You did say you have difficulty with portion size. That's an 8" x 8" dish.

A re-occurring favorite - Chicken Taquitos with salad.
I forgot to take a pic until after I dived in.

Simple but effective. Loaded baked beans and brown rice over sharp cheddar and spklbuk's famous at my house cornbread. Yum!

We tried to re-create a meal we enjoyed in Florida a while back.

Lobster Roll on butter grilled & split Brioche bun-

For dinner we went back to a favorite - Broccoli Beef over steamed white rice.

You get the full monty this time, from recipe to plate.

Went for a ride today and got a cheeseburger , with pastrami, sauerkraut, and fixings. Homemade bun, and fresh cut fries. 37F3B775-E031-4C54-A2CA-929686EBFA3A.jpeg

I got to know what it is before I can eat it, or want to eat it. Do tell.
Tenderized Whitetail deer steak marinated 36 hours, rolled in seasoned flour and pan seared in canola to medium rare perfection. Brown gravy from the pan drippings over toasted leftover yeast biscuits. Stewed purple cabbage, ginger and last summers apples of an ancient strain of Wealthy. Chased with a nice hoppy IPA from Lexington, VA.

I waddled up the hill as Shadow took me for a walk after supper!
