Hey guys, dooes anyone still make or know where to get a folding gear shifter, preferably in N.America? But if needed i can order it over seas, just time pressing.
Where are you ordering from? I was looking for the "woodcraft eccentric folding toe piece" and saw it on Revzilla (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/woodcraft-eccentric-folding-toe-piece) but it is out of stock. I can't find anyone carrying it in Canada. Thanks, i guess this stuff is getting harder to get in N.America, maybe the bike just isn't popular enough to justify carrying much for them.
This doesn't seem to be the case in Europe, i'll order one from UK.
I'm in the States, ordered this from Germany at the website posted and it arrived fairly quickly. Well-made farkle for the S10.OFF-THE-ROAD | Gear lever EVO, adjustable, Yamaha XT-1200Z/ZE Super Tenere | Online Webshop

I'm in BC, i have in the past tried to order from Revzilla and i always get told they don't deliver to Canada. Their web site says so and i one time called and was told the same. So i don't bother even looking at their site.Where are you ordering from? Did you get popped with a US Customs or any other type of charge besides the item and shipping cost?I'm in the States, ordered this from Germany at the website posted and it arrived fairly quickly. Well-made farkle for the S10.
Just the cost of the item and shipping, as far as I am aware....there were no separate line items for customs or any other bullshit like that.Did you get popped with a US Customs or any other type of charge besides the item and shipping cost?
I have tried to order from FortNine in the past and they won't ship south of the border.I'm in BC, i have in the past tried to order from Revzilla and i always get told they don't deliver to Canada. Though they did tell me if i opened a PO box state side no problem.......YA right, not a chance, all other suppliers don't seem to have an issue, so "Fukm"
Well that's interesting, that could be the reason then. Revzilla are the only ones i have a hard time with, no issues with anyone else.I have tried to order from FortNine in the past and they won't ship south of the border.
One time when I was trying to order a pair of gloves from Revzilla, I was talking to the sales support on the phone and when he told me they were out of stock, he checked FortNine's inventory to see about getting a pair from them. So there must be some sort of relationship there.
Here's another option. This lever also fits BMW R80/100GS and R100R. So, any aftermarket shift lever that fits these BMW models should fit the S10. @magic - Why would you think that fits a S10? Never mind it's hideously over priced. You would need to drill for your own linkage. Here's another option. This lever also fits BMW R80/100GS and R100R. +1, affordable too. After one too many drops I did have to replace the rubber on it, they worked with me to ship that cheaper.
Eric, open up the attachment and read the description through. It's a bolt on part with no drilling or modifications required. Like I mentioned, I bought one in 2015 and it's works great. I agree it's overpriced, but what the hell, it's for one of my bikes. On the BMWs the shift lever faces the rear of the bike and on our S10s it faces forward. I still have the instructions that came with the lever, BMW instructions on one side and Yamaha on the other, same part number. The Wunderlich lever comes with the Heim joint already attached.@magic - Why would you think that fits a S10? Never mind it's hideously over priced. You would need to drill for your own linkage.
I did open the links you posted. Maybe you intended to share the .pdf instructions? LINK The links you posted all show a generic shift lever with no linkage and the newest year on their web site is 1995. You didn't say what you had to do to make it work, only that it worked. The .pdf instructions do have XT1200 shown, with the linkage shown in the diagrams.Eric, open up the attachment and read the description through.
