Be glad you trailered, I got back to work and was drenched! Bike showed air temp of 127 on the way home!

Yea, no joke........ I work in this heat... weld in this heat... ride a motorcycle to work everyday in the heat.... It was kinda nice to ride in some A/C for an hour..... :D Took more than an hour in stop & go traffic to get back... I mean, except for all the jokes for wanting to get the bike today...... :D :D

whats worse than the fact you trailer it is the part about you towing the trailer with a PICK UP TRUCK thats got an empty bed!

if you got a truck use it as a truck :p

So let's see. If you take the s10 in a truck, then you're not trailering it technically; right? So that's ok?

Oh, by the way Tabasco - Nice pink hearts :D :D :D

I think I'd die if I rode in 127 degree heat. I think I'd die if I just walked in that. I don't know how you guys do it, you must have grown a hump on your back.

Trailer equal easy to load onto and a 575 lb motorcycle is a bit hard to load into a high tailgated truck even with a loading ramp. BTW that tundra tailgate is very weak and no way would I trust it with my S10 sitting on it.

AFWIW that's a $2400 Kendon trailer best you can get for hauling any motorcycle. ;D

I use my truck but not in that way.

I had a Mazda B2200 that I carried bikes in fairly often. It couldn't get out of its own way, with a motorcycle in the back. Freeway merges were very exciting. So when it rotted I replaced it with an F-150, and quickly learned that I didn't want to put the bikes in there. Once they were up there, the truck drove great, but putting them in was terrifying. So I stopped buying the sort of bikes that have to be hauled, and when I did have to haul I would borrow a trailer. And if you're not going to put bikes in it, why have a truck? I sold it last spring - that's the money I used to buy the S10!

The only bikes I put in the back of my short bed pickup are Dirt Bikes and Quads. You can almost let them drop out of the back of the truck without worrying about any kindof damage to them. A big street bike, no thanks. ???

Yes, then the death ride back to work. To tell you the truth my biggest concern is that I have used a heel/toe shifter for the last 6 years and will have to get used to upshifting again. Suppose they make one for the Tenere????

Believe me the whole time I am thinking that my bike was going to come out of the back shop PINK. Jason was acting a little squirrley...ok more than usual, and I was just waiting for what the "problem" was going to be with my bike.

Lots for me to get used to on this bike. The fixed fairing (vs the Venture) freaks me out a little, back brakes are very different (front much better), and the power (never got out of 3rd) is way more than I may ever need.

Look forward to putting some miles on and getting used to it. I anticipate a long honeymoon.
