Knowing Jaxson (Tabasco) was picking up his bike today, I couldn't resist being there to see the joy on his face. I was met with the horror of discovering that he was going to trailer the bike home. I am not sure what part of the ST code this is in violation of but it eats at the core of what these bikes represent. Man that is a good looking bike. Mine tomorrow.

OMG! That pic should be deleted immediately and forgotten by all those that have been unlucky enough to have seen it.

We need the intervention of a Moderator, ASAP!!!!

Seeing the temps like 110+ here, I would lean towards giving him some slack on a brand new bike. LOL

I quit riding this morning at 9:30am.

Have to agree, SERIOUS code violation.

When I got the call, I promtly booked that day and the follwing week off. Went ot dealer, pdi's bike rode home in rain, mud and brutal wind. Geared up and rode to Skagway for more rain!!

ST's
are meant for riding not towing...

Do I dare mention that I may need to trailer mine home on Friday. I was so looking forward to riding some West Virginia roads before hitting the tarmac. :-X :-X

In my defense I typically do haul my new bike home. Been doing for years. I like to look them over real good and make sure I am comfortable with it. Street riding is dangerous activity and should not be taken lightly. Weekday drivers are the worst and most unpredictable species. No shame on me, and for what it's worth it will be in the back of my toy hauler camper in 4 weeks going on a 10 day vacation with my wife. My wife does not like to camp or motel it nor does she care for two up touring. But she likes to ride and sleep in her own bed. So now it's all out in the open. Trust me the S10 will see many lonesome miles on it's own.

I must admit that when I bought my last new bike (the NT) not only did I not ride it home, I didn't even trailer it myself. The dealership delivered it in an enclosed trailer, and rolled it right into my garage for me. Of course, it was early February and my street hadn't been plowed. And I didn't want it covered in road salt.

But if they manage to get me a Super Ten before the snow comes, I promise to ride it home. :)

I don't have a problem with this bike being a trailer "queen" ::) eh, I mean trailered home as long as you wear your pirate outfits and tattoos :)) like all those peeps I pass trailering their Harleys 8) down to trailer week, eh I mean "bike week" in Daytona. Just kidding witcha since youse guys bought an XTZ, youse is 8) in my book, trailer or not.

Sounds to me like there's no real protocol around this, although I would love to ride mine back 300 odd miles home on the first day. Sort of a "time alone period". :D

I wonder if he is going to trailer it to Joe's lunch on Saturday at Hard Eight because it is hot out?

I don't think the temp was less than 100 degrees the first 600 miles I put on mine.

You might have to install more aggressive tires on the trailer for the Prudhoe Bay trip. Any farkles on the trailer?
