I got my bike today, and after putting on 150 miles here are my first impressions
1. Seat does slope forward if in low setting- Solution keep in high setting. I'm sure aftermarket, more comfortable ones are to follow.
2. I see a set of ROX Risers in my future- Bars are too low for me and cause the dreaded vibes, leaning forward to get them.
3. Power is enough for me in T mode- I've always ridden cruisers for the most part so even in T-mode the thing moves with enough urgency. I see S-mode potentially more valuable off-road
4. Braking is awesome- Found this out when someone tried to side swipe me after taking delivery.
5. Riding in 105+ degree heat is for the birds- I'm glad I went and got the bike but whew, I looked down at one point and the bike showed the air temperature @ 127.
6. This bike has pretty darn good headlights- I took it out for about a 40 mile ride after dark and was able to see pretty well and really well with brights on.
7. Bike gets looks- I parked it a restaurant and watched from the window, and caught 10+ different people checking it out. Riding a Tenere is like taking out the prom queen!
8. Stock windshield was sufficient for me- I didn't realize how much wind the thing was blocking until I stood up. It's tiny I never would have guessed it.
9. Off road is fine- Had to jump the bike to see how it would handle and it did great even with 90/10 tires in dirt.
10. The hated Heat shield seems to look better on our version- Is it just me but wasn't the euro version just grey? This one seems more silver metallic.
Well there you have it my top 10 observations after first ride.
