Thanks. Yes that’s the one I saw a week or so ago.
Anyone seen the “production” model yet at any of the Euro bike shows? Haven’t seen anything in the press saying it’s about to be launched? Hopefully Yamaha haven’t missed the boat again but maybe that’s their stile? Keep us hanging on just dribbling clips into us!

The latest videos ensemble of all five European riders trying out the Yamaha 700 Ténéré with a live Facebook announcement on 5th November 18:00 grid CET (Central European Time)
It’s being suggested this will be at EICMA Milan. About bloody time!

Kawasaki is missing out on the Adv market unless the Versys lineup is what they’re expecting to cover that market.
This new XT700 ups the ante for both HONDA and Kawasaki.

For my life it just doesn't work with the chain. For European style commuting, running through countless small towns, and back-roads it'd be absolutely perfect.

I'm just too large for a bike like that. I also think that maybe it's MY size, that makes my TENERE's size a non-issue. It might be a great bike, but the T7 is not in the same class as the XT12.

Based on the video of the 5 riders, and of course Yamaha's history, I suspect we're not going to be seeing this in the US for at least another year or two, if ever. Of course I'd love to be wrong about that.

Wouldn't mind something lively to replace my DR650 trail couch.

I do think you would see it in the US, but you're probably right about the timing. It is not going to be a world market bike excluding the US as there are too many choices in those markets for Yamaha to solely rely on the sales numbers to add up. As with most things today, being global, launch dates maybe be the same world-wide, days of patience and drooling for today's ' now culture' is over and too right!

I was searching for 21 inch tubless knobbies recently and didn't find much.
Plenty out there that are TL. Shinko 804/805, tkc 80s, Mitas E08 (Not really a knobby), just look for the TL designation on the tire.
i don't think yamaha will make this bike with tubless rims. Its meant to be beat on. The first good hit, the rim will bend and not hold air on the bead...step in good old tubes. total PITA when you need to change them, but good for what they are made for.
I did this with my AT. All tubless now:

Sounds like maybe Fred has the Orange Electronics system? It’s sold by rrrtoolsolutions.com. Gordon, the proprietor, is a member in the forum here. I’m happy with my system and moreover with Gordon’s customer service.

Thanks, Greg. Never heard of the TL designation, but I'll search for that.

no worries.
All tires have listings on them.
TT tube type, and TL tube less.
I ran a tube in my front tire for the first 13k km, due to the tires being tube type. In the first 12500km...no issues, in the last 500km..three flats, one my fault (twisted the tube)
