Anyone use the stick on type fender extender? Do these actually stay in place with the stickers that are provided?

Please note, I'm not after advice on self tapping, riveting or gluing a fender extender.

Had it on my bike for nearly 2 years so far and not an issue, but did add a little extra double-sided H/D carpet tape to it. I had the exact same on my last S10 and I opted to use 3 tiny black self grip screws as well as the sticky tape.

If the surfaces are clean, yes it sticks fine. People have had them come off, so sometimes it does happen. I've had four, one with just the tape lasted 60k plus w/o issue. The others I used screws and RTV due to my nature if a little is good, more is better. :D

I would ask you to consider though, that the Super Ten does not have a front mounted radiator. And also to be aware that the fender extenda does not play well with some skid plates.

I liked the Fenda Extenda on my FJR, so put one on my Super Ten w/o really thinking about it much. Later, it snapped off after catching on the skid plate during an off road adventure where the forks bottomed out, allowing the extender to catch on the skid plate's front area. That took a nice chunk of the front fender with it too, btw. I did not feel the need to mount another Fenda Extenda on my second Super Ten when I got that bike.

Thanks folks ::008::

Is the extender/ skid plate issue still of concern when running the standard little plastic version of skid plate?

Actually, there are two ways a fender extender gets broken by a skid plate. Besides catching on the leading edge of a skid plate as the forks are compressed, and then getting pulled up as the forks extend, a plate which has no leading edge such as an ACD, will actually press the extender into the tire as the forks are compressed. By its rotation, the tire then catches the edge of the extender and sucks it up between the fender and the tire. Different principle, same result :-(
