The sticker is hit and miss now days. It used to work 100% no issues. Ive had to go digging for my ID!!! and the hard card recently twice. Once at Grand Teton and then at Arches. Yellowstone in the truck they wanted the hard card and ID. So even if you have the sticker, make sure you bring the card and ID.
Dang, that sucks. That's the whole reason for the sticker, so that I don't HAVE to dig in my wallet. I guess I need to make sure I have my card on me from now on.
Thanks for sharing that info, better to know now than when I get to the gate.

I'm betting that there are miscreants out there using vehicles that aren't theirs to go into the parks. Like when junior uses granny's handicap placard to park closer to the store. In Texas, and likely just about every state, you can bring your DD-214 in and get "VETERAN" put on your driver's license.

I've been to 30 or so parks/lands in the past 4 months. Seems to be individual park policy , not the person at the check station just being a dork. Most places you point at the sticker and they wave you through. But the ones I mentioned were serious about checking. I know at Teton the lady actually ran the pass through the bar code reader not just looked at the signatures for a match.

Could be like @Sierra1 said, cracking down on people using false/expired passes.

Sounds like the guy was bored. Maybe he doesn't like "bikers"?

i know we have a gallery, but thought it would be nice to share our best pics of our bikes and scenery to give us that feel for adventure ::008:: ::022::

Hey Everyone,

This is one of my favorite pictures; taken when I was touring the southwest during winter.

I was moving my camp from Anza Borrego in California to Ehrenberg in Arizona near the CA/AZ border at the time of this photo. I would park/camp in the tiny motorcycle tent trailer for two weeks while simultaneously exploring on the Super Tenere around the desert or mountain trails. I was having such a blast.

Then in the summer I headed up to Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and the cooler northern climates/elevation. I found some wonderful “twisties” in the Gunnison National Forest, which the Super Tenere and the trailer just gobbled up. Northeastern Arizona also had some wonderful scenery and roadways.

Attached is a link to a YouTube video of the Super Tenere and the trailer. I explored full-time like that for about two years and look forward to returning to that lifestyle again. Full-time on the road with the Super Tenere and that trailer was absolute heaven.

I met some wonderful and very interesting people and saw some amazing backcountry. The Super Tenere is a little mule and does it all!

Enjoyed the nice weather for a ride.
The Jann Berghaus Bridge over the Ems in Leer (Germany) in East Friesland is one of the largest bascule bridges in Central Europe after the Erasmus Bridge. It lies between the districts of Leerort and Bingum in the course of the B 436.
