Some days don't suck.
Cedar Breaks National Monument.

The old tractor engine didn't have a problem with the 5000 foot climb tons of twisty and road to myself for the most part.. Beautiful ride through Duck Creek and Panguitch today. FYI Zion has gone to crap. Overcrowded beyond belief l'll never bother to go back during bus only season.

They all are overcrowded. So many folks trying to catch up on their travel plans that were arbitrarily canceled for two years. Yosemite and Glacier require an extra permit (reservation) gotten in advance.
Have you taken the trail from Kolob reservoir to Sr14? Hard to follow but scenic and very few humans...usually. :)

Was in Glacier last week, no permit required. Maybe you are thinking of Arches in UT? They are going to permits on holiday weekends. Yellowstone was no where near as busy as it should have been two, three weeks ago. I parked the truck 4 spots away from as close as you can park to Old Faithful near the lodge and the main huge parking area was at maybe 50% capacity. I think the flooding had a lot of people change their plans but the park was "fully" open.

I haven't been on that section from Kolob. I usually stay above 14 other than a dip to Zion or Coral Pink.

REMEMBER: NATIONAL PARKS ARE FREE ENTRY TO ALL VETERANS. Also, some states state parks.
I get my annual pass every year, and since it's free they even give me a second, sticker version for my bike. That way I don't need to dig into my wallet for the card when I show up at the gate. Just get waved right on through.

The sticker is hit and miss now days. It used to work 100% no issues. Ive had to go digging for my ID!!! and the hard card recently twice. Once at Grand Teton and then at Arches. Yellowstone in the truck they wanted the hard card and ID. So even if you have the sticker, make sure you bring the card and ID.
