We have been there a few times with friends. We stay at The Marronnier in village called Rencurel. (Book early) Did you do the Col de Rousset?

I was on a quick weekend trip on a rental bike from Toulouse and hit a number of vertical switch backs, so am not sure at this point. I know that I'd like to go back with more time as that was squeezing a couple of days between completion of a job and catching a flight.

This is nowhere near as fancy. Just on one of the many heavenly roads in the hill country of Texas, by Kerrville.

This is my latest favorite image.
We were riding maintained FS roads in the Chattahoochee Forest and saw this ‘track’ below us. Both of us look at each other and we turn into the ‘Goat Path’ trail and have blast. Smiles from the few miles !!

Here's a couple, also from the Vercors, 1st one on the Col De La Machine. 2nd was our digs in Treffort, nearby (ish). If you go back Grumpy, give this place a go, was lake side and stunning, great food and good beer too.
