Tapatio (its mild) is good for everyday use I think it has one of the best flavors out there is readily available sauces. Valentina black label (medium) is my go to.

But my favorite stuff is a small label for a local Mexican Grocery Chain here. Cocheca or something like that. Its melt your eyeballs heat level. Like 5 drops on a baked potato and I'm sweating.

This may be worse than an oil thread....between personal preferences, and the gazillion of different brands....some of which are extremely localized..... :D

I’ve always preferred Crystal Hot Sauce, but it’s not sold around here. I’ll have to do a little traveling I guess. It has a nice balance of heat and flavor for me.

There are all kinds of heat. Front end, back end, painful, it's all out there. I used to have some After Death hot sauce that was ghost pepper extract. a couple of drops on a taco was awesome. Three or four would cause you to break out in a sweat. 5 or more? You would be temporarily incapacitated. As in, push your chair back from the table and try and breathe for 5 minutes or so before you would recover. Good stuff. Had a little scull hanging from the bottle to warn you. I got the first bottle I don't know where, then a second in Baker, CA at the Alien Fresh Jerky store. They usually had a good supply of fresh powdered ghost pepper too. Though, Beatty, NV usually had some too, at Jedidiah's Jerky & Gourmet Snacks. Hole in the wall spot next door to the Stagecoach Inn.

Alien Fresh Jerky stores are all over the place now. I think there are 6 now between Vegas and Kingman for some ungodly reason.

I know, what gives? Good variety, but jerky prices were way high. I did find some interesting stuff in the hot sauce selection though. Things I could never find twice anywhere else, but showed up at Alien Jerky.

Not sure but all of a sudden everywhere. I was just in Mesquite to pick up a bike Saturday and there are 3 just as you roll into town.

I thought it was some type of franchise scam getting these people to open in the middle of nowhere, but they are not franchised nor selling licenses. Shurg? Good to know they have hot sauces, I hate jerky, but sauce will be worth a stop next trip.

i would be willing to exchange local hot sauces for same from a different region. I tend to collect hot sauces and don't use them as quick as I should.

I'll keep an eye out for something local and interesting. Do you like sweet, hot, Fu**ing hot or are open to what ever if it's regional?

We've been making BBQ Pizzas with the Head brand Apple Habanero sauce. More of a BBQ sauce than a hot sauce, but tasty. Just a little sweet and heat. Surprising to me, my wife loves it. More than the tequila lime sauce we were using before that I used to get from the Pueblo in Taos.

BBQ Chicken pizza with smoked gouda cheese, mozzarella cheese, green and red onions. Used the Head sauce as a base on the thin crust skin, and added some more on top as well before baking.
