yeah I know that model, original by philips, now copied by tons of chinesse brands. Its good but its not more than 2k lums. On the good side you save a lot of work and the need to change the caps. but you are getting half the power that you can get with led.
These are the type I was referring to:

Do you think those are better than the 4000 ea. Lumen NightEye with the cooling fins that someone had posted?

Only in the sense of vibration proof and space saving. The actual LED would probably be comparable.

Thank for sending mine out Victor. Pretty simple transaction.
I didn't see it noted anywhere.....do we use those large rubbers O-rings from the stock caps on yours?
Thanks,
Steve
yes you need to reuse the O-Ring from your actual caps :)

Mine arrived downunder very quickly. Installed easily. I pulled the headlight housing off the bike so I could access the little T10 wedge bulb at the same time. I'd been riding around with that little light blown for a couple of years because I wasn't bothered enough to pull the housing.

It is easier, much easier, to pull the housing out to stuff the Cyclops bits inside. The Deftoner covers just twist into place like they are meant to be there, so are easy with or without pulling out the housing.

Nighteyes now makes newer updated ones under the brand name "Novsight" The newer Novsight ones have better specs. <snip> But the Nighteyes and Novsights have gotten good reviews.
Thanks for posting this. In checking out the Novsight versions i discovered that there are multiple versions. One Novsight version is similar to the Nighteyes w/o the brick on the wire, but has a detachable, user replaceable, cooling fan on the back. Virtually the same length as the Nighteyes, so should fit w/o issues. This is a 60W 10000LM 6500K color set. ebay link

Another Novsight version has a power stabilization brick on the wire, but the fan is more streamlined and built in. Doesn't appear to be user replaceable. (not sure if that is a big deal or not) Same 60W 10000LM 6500K color specs. ebay link

The original Nighteye version, (linked above by Xclimation), is 50W 8000LM 6500K color and a fanless design with large heatsink.

There is also a Novsight 60W 8000LM 6000K color version as well... ebay link

Confused yet? :D I was tempted to buy the replaceable fan version, but decided to take a chance on this version because it's shorter in the back. I'm hoping that will get a bit better air circulation with the extended covers from deftoner. $30.98 for a pair. We'll see how long it takes to get from China.

Bonus note: I sent PayPal funds to deftoner for a pair of caps and sent an email with my info and what I wanted. It took him less than 2 hours to package and create a label, so I already have PayPal notification that my package is on the way and a USPS tracking number. :D That means he's got it ready to drop off at the post office on Monday. Very cool and great service from deftoner. ::008::

I did buy This kit as I indicated in that post. It took a couple of weeks to arrive. No issues with the condition or install and its worked just fine ever since. Fit nicely with your longer caps. I did have one light not fire up when first installed, but it was a simple polarity issue. Flipping the plug around corrected this and it fired up just fine. I think I only have around 4k miles on it so far. Haven't been getting much riding in due to moving, weather and life getting in the way. I'm pleased with the increase in light and whiter light than the stock halogen bulbs. I need to pull the headlight assy and install some LED marker lights I got to complete the white appearance.

There are so many H7 Novsight LED lamps, it boggles my brain!! I really appreciate you Eric and Checkswrecks due diligence to finding a reasonably priced LED option that works for our Super Teneres.

Quick question, is it better to adjust my headlights with the OEM bulbs first before installing the LED bulbs or does it even matter?

BTW, I just ordered my just ordered my extended cap from Victor (deftoner) today. He is "johnny on the spot". Answered my email promptly and got my order out today!!

Thanks to all of you gentlemen!!

Due to the nature of the projector lens, it did not seem to alter the aim of the headlights when changing from halogen to LED. I do believe there is a minor change in 'hot spots' of the beam, but the cut off remains the same since that is built into the lens, rather than an aspect of the 'bulb'.
