Error code 069?

I gave my S10 a wash this afternoon and after starting her up I got an engine light and an 069 error code. After the 13 year old in me burst out laughing I checked out my service manual and saw that it refers to a front wheel sensor issue. Assuming its the ABS sensor I had a look at it (just a visual, I didn't take anything apart) and all seems normal.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I, like you, didn't think my bike was effected, but then the letter showed up, so. . . . I'm going to contact my dealer too, and see what they say. Fortunately, I can trust them.

Good news! I took her for quick spin a little earlier and as I touched the brakes as I was leaving my driveway I felt a pulse through the lever for a split second and the light went away.
I'm still going to go to the dealer about the recall though. And I'll get them to check it out just in case this becomes a recurring issue.

Has the abs wire up front ever been out of it's loom and rubbed on the tire? Bare wires and water don't mix.

A bit late, but I just ran into the same error code and found this thread, then I got a copy of the service manual:

69 Front wheel sensor: no normal signals are received from the front wheel sensor.

Bike was on the centre stand, I was checking to see if the "run in second gear until ABS has a fit and dies" worked, and I probably pulled the front brake which tripped the error code. And no... the ABS didn't die like the pre 2014 models, so I'll have to wire in a switch to the fuse to defeat the ABS if I should need it.
