When riding, my arms are straight at the Elbows - no bend at the elbows, unless I lean forward.
Recent 177mile ride - almost non-stop - max 30mins stop - the inside of right elbow hurt a bit.Not distracting pain, but enough to need to try and relieve it. Leaning forward and creating a bend at the elbow helped.
Could be that I may be gripping the throttle a bit too tight? I had Grip Puppies on my FJR. Ordered a pair for the S10.

And also that painful point between the shoulder blades.
I believe that to be a 'posture' issue, since this pain is not unique to when I'm riding, but happens more often while riding than not.

I am 5'10", 32 inseam. Seat at lower position.
Reading up on Ergo settings on the forum and interwebs, I'm thinking I need to tweak the handlebar or even change the bars.

Looking for tips.

I use Rox pivot risers to get the bars closer to me. Works great.

I also considered the Rox offset risers. If I recall correctly they have some that bring the bars 1" closer to you.

Hope this helps.

Just installed the Helibar riser on mine. Worked for me. Took about 45 minutes by the time you read the instructions and all. I had the same problem with my arms being almost straight. I'm 6' with a 34 inseam so now I can sit more upright. Not a big fan of the hose extension that comes with the kit. They could've just made it longer and replaced it from the fitting on the frame just as easy, but it works. ::008::

Also, consider the seat leveling mod. Keeps you from sliding into the tank, keeps your tailbone from digging in, and reduces "monkey butt". Very simple mod that costs about $5.

Also, if you find you have trouble reliably hitting the rear brake pedal, consider this - cheap and easy to do. See my post here:

The Heli Riser and Grip Puppies were a must for me.

I can ride all day with these small mods.
