The plan for this afternoon is to install an Apache top box on the Tenere. This has been something I have researched for a long time. The plan is to use it to carry my work laptop, shoes, button down, etc for work and integrate the motorcycle into my travels instead of always needing to drive the car.

Longstory short, I came across a lot of people that are considering a quick release option for their cases(no matter the brand). About 5 minutes ago I located the YouTube video below and wanted to share it since I didn’t see any of this information anywhere.

I have not used this product and not planning on using it today (don’t need the quick release). Has anyone used this before or heard of someone who has?

I'll admit that the EO2 system is super cool but at $120 plus the box I'd rather "cry once" and pony up for a fully integrated locking top box. Depending on where you live, a used Givi can be had at about the same cost. Might not look as cool, but...
Now, RCinNC's homebrewed solution makes a lot more sense IMO. Probably 1/4 the cost and the satisfaction of saying you built it. What's not to like?

Has anyone looked into the aluminum top boxes on Ebay? $230 shipped. Comes with it's own locking mounting system. I'm leaning in this direction, personally.

Agree with you - RCinNC's is a good way to go.

I didn’t use the (EO)2 setup on my personal installation. The top-box doesn’t need to be removable for me so I hard mounted it.
