Engine runs like a champ when cold, but started to shuddered when warmed up.

It's very possible that the rust is from the tank. If it is you should be able to see it with a flashlight while doing a visual inspection. On a bike that new, even in an island environment, I'd be suspecting my fuel source too. That type of thing wouldn't be likely to happen in the US today, but in the past it would have been very possible. I don't know what the quality standards are today where you are.

sounds like the MAP sensor has given up the ghost.

disconnect it from under the left side of the tank and fire the bike up. Should defer to the default ECU fuel map..but at least run...

The fuel tank were rusty.. cleaning it first and try to run it for a while.. hopefully the rust will be the only issue..

This is how the fuel filter looks like now.. it is possible to change this filter or just clean it?

I have never had this filter in hand...but if it is some kind of metal, it can be cleaned.
If not, then I still think it can be cleaned, but with more care :)
Might be difficult to change only the filter part, maybe the best to but complete new.

Is anyone else astonished that filter came out of a 2013 year cycle?

What do you folks have, for what passes as fuel there?

I am, I find it incomprehensible that a bike that new could have a tank that bad. I've been curious about the supply too.

Due to the design of the tank and fuel pump assembly, there is not many teabag filter that can fits, however the one that i bought from www.highflowfuel.com does fit quite good...

Adding an inline filter after the pump is not an easy job as the fuel line from the pump going to the throttle body is very short and adding one only helps to protect the injectors as it is positioned after the pump...

...To add to this old tread.

Had mine 2010 1st Edition with 59,000km on replaced yesterday.

Mechanic tells me it's a Suzuki part, did not give the part number.
Will try and pry it out of him.

I must say, it completely transformed my bike's performance and response, it's a beast again.
