I use a Sena. With all of my favorite songs. I don't hear a thing. I know how she's supposed to feel, so . . . .

Starting the bike outside instead of a garage or near a wall, will also "reduce" some of the noise most and myself worry about. It's a noisy engine, but i can't hear nothing out of whack....i'm not a fan of ear plugs since i like to hear what surrounds me and not block it, but just closing the visor makes a significant difference. Most off all, i need to get used to it and concentrate on riding and having fun....

I am using Alpine ear plugs; they allow you to hear horns and some ambient sounds but filter the engine sound. I heard that long term exposure to loud engine sound may result in hearing loss so I recommend to use them

Sounds sweet to me, especially as it starts almost immediately.
Now I'm concerened about something else. I replaced coils and plugs with iridium, still takes a few seconds to start, where should I be looking guys?
2018 registered 2017 model ZE, 7000 miles on clock from new.
I'll post cold start video in next few days. Thanks.

Has it changed? My Gold Wing riding neighbor keeps telling me that mine is cranking slow; needs new battery. It's cranking exactly the same now as when brand new.

No, cranks just as fast as before, if anything, the bike now takes longer to fire up than before with old plugs and old coils. Remembering however, that this bike is only 7000 miles old.
I can see I'll have to post a video so you can see if it's my imagination, or if indeed it's cranking slowly

If you have a Google account you also have a Youtube account...upload it and post the link here.

Did you change the coils because they were damaged ? I'm using regular NGK spark plugs, not Iridium.

No, I think I mentioned in another post that it had cut out twice on the day following an episode of riding in the rain. So I suspected the coils, but as I was replacing them, I changed the plugs too
Turns out visually the coils and old plugs were fine- no apparent corrosion, so I still haven't got to the bottom of that

Just got these and tested this morning on a short run....well, unlike those bigger 3M orange plugs that make you feel detached from the surroundings ( like being underwater...), these seem to be build to cancel some noises, just not all of them...

I can still hear the exhaust and the engine, as well other "ambient" sounds, but wind-noise and those low-frequency ( but annoying / distracting / disturbing ) noises like valve / chain clatter, seem to be dampened almost to the point you don't hear them. Apart from that, they seem to be really comfortable to the point you don't even notice they're there.

Just need to start using these more often, specially on longer runs and see if they're really as good as my 1st impressions.

Ditto!
I have been using them for the past 4 years and I am very happy with my choice!

Oh and don't forget to clean them every now and then, as they tend to get dirty! Mine came with a small spray bottle, filled with some sort of cleaning fluid.
