Looking for the electric schematics and related part list description for the S10. Alternatively, a maintenance manuel would probably have it as well.

Thanks in advance.

My first electric work on a bike... :-[

Would like to hook up the GPS so it gets power when the key in the ignition is turned to the ON position, but engine is still OFF. Which of the fuses could be connected to the GPS hot wire to achieve that? Black wire/ ground will get connected to the negative terminal of the battery.

This is my initial approach, open to any other solutions that will achieve the same.

You could use the tan wire on the 3 pin aux light connecter. It is only hot when ignition is on.
A better solution would be to use a power distribututon block. There are a bunch of threads on that subject.

Any picture or description of where the 3 pin aux light connector is located (could not find a reference to it in the maintenance manual). Is it easily accessible?

Will probably adopt the power distribution block idea if I need to connect additional devices. For now, the GPS is key and I would like to spare the 12V aux port.

To the right of the battery you should find two connectors tucked behind the harness. The 3 pin is for the aux lights and the six pin is for heated grips.

Ended up hooking into a 3 pin connector (not sure if it is the aux light one) that turned hot with the ignition ON. GPS is happy ::008::
Appreciate the help.

Next on the list is replacing the front turn signals with the dual mode LEDs.

Anyone using the Twisted Throttle power block:
Yes I am. I have my Heated jacket wire and GPS rugged mount installed into it. Works great! Easy to install accessories. I had mine mounted by the dealer under the drivers seat. I have also personally installed a power distribution system and relay on my KLR. The Twisted Throttle power block is much nicer for just a bit more money.
