Have a look here: Flash Tuning With PV3
Ok, then it’s maybe down to variation from one example to the next, who knows. The CA models have different emissions equipment, in spite of ECU tuning that might affect drivability too, otherwise why bother with a separate version? The ECU, including the program, is completely defined by the part number. There is no code difference for California versions of the Tenere.
Same. I was 90% certain I was going sell it I felt like I had Super Tenere SE (Special Edition) post flash though!I probably would have sold it if it wasn’t flashed.
Yup, mine was done right from the factory. The only time my injectors turn completely off is when I roll completely off the throttle. Speeding up or slowing down, she reacts just like any other bike. I love the boat anchor engine braking.. . . . I'd also take a look at the reader comments section following the article. Here's the link: . . . .
Yes, I have to be careful if I get too "inspired". Or the back tire will break loose; or lift the front end. So, when I read how the first three gears are limited, I get confused. Mine is not that way. Or, if it is, I'm glad. More would not be better.. . . . The torque and traction the Tenere can generate on loose surfaces is unreal. No rev's needed, just load it and go. Love it. . . .
Ouch!!The only engine I can compare for that grunt is the Boxer from BMW.
My 2012 model (I added to her a 10th anniversary sticker) has that jumpy feeling on S mode...Yes, I have to be careful if I get too "inspired".
