Getting my bike tuned at Rob's in Gardner, MA next week. Seems pretty competent but not sure how familiar he is with the S10s. Is there any suggestions I should make for making the bike feel better (engine braking parameters, fuel cut on decel, acceleration fuel booster, etc)?

Don't ask me. I think she's perfect as is. Wouldn't change a thing. A/F. Air and Fuel?

I would make sure the engine braking is reduced by at least 50%, and have the cooling fan come on at a lower temperature. If your bike is a Gen 1, make sure the restrictions in gears 1-3 are removed. This would be a good time to do the exhaust modifications before the tuning.

Yeah, well, the CBX speedo only went to 150 mph, so he was probably full of shit on multiple levels.
The CBX, stock, has almost the exact same horsepower as our beloved Tenere and "probably" the same amount of aerodynamic drag. "Maybe", if it was turbocharged, had Hayabusa bodywork installed, and a gearing change, it could achieve that speed.

. . . . so he was probably full of shit on multiple levels. . . .
Yup. But that's his worse habit. I can live with it. When he first told me, I told him at that time, nobody was doing 180. (The first Ninja 1000 could do 160, could only do 135 w/o the body work) And the CBX was stupid wide. Then I just said wow, cool story.

I think 130 would be about it.
I agree. I remember that Honda was going after the Top Speed crown that Suzuki had. But the CBX was kind of a flop. Didn't have the top end, probably 'cuz of wind drag from that motor and was too heavy/wide to be a good sport tourer (although they tried marketing it as such).
