It's like someone once said, there is no perfect tire. It's all about compromises. It all depends where on the scale you want to be. 056f did say "About 17k out of that tire (was on the bike when I got it so I'm not 100% sure). "

056f - how many miles did you put on that tire?

I fell for all the hype about the Trailmax Missions. I’m about 1800 miles into them and they’re wearing like iron. I find the single compound to be extremely sketchy in the rain.

I live in Minnesota and am not real excited about riding them in cooler weather.I do however like them very much on dirt, gravel and dry tarmac.

If these were a dual compound tire I would happily give up a 1000-1500 miles of wear for better grip on rainy and cooler roads. These tires replaced Conti TK70’s that I found much better on foul weather roads but not quite as good on gravel and dirt.

Like everyone I’m always on the lookout for the proverbial “Unicorn” tire. The above comments are just my observations yours may well be different.
Same experience on cold, wet pavement. Sketchy rear tire, worst traction I've experienced.

I put a set of Trailmax Missions on my S10 in July of 2021. They were a little squirrelly in traffic circles for the first 1,000km or so but they calmed down after that. I'm roughly 14,000km into them now and normally I would be well past the life of a tire but these are about 50% left. They are confidence inspiring on gravel roads, logging trails and had no problem with flooded sections of the Trans Canada Hwy last summer. I run 32/42 psi in them constantly. For my style of riding and places I go, the Trailmax Mission tires exceed my experience with the TKC70s and the Trail Attack 3 - the higher mileage is an added bonus. I have already ordered a new set for when these need replacing.

FYI for shoppers...
45235418 - DUNLOP 110/80-19 FR TRAILMAX MISSION 59T FRONT MSRP: $248.99CAD - Purchase Price: 186.99CAD
45235464 - DUNLOP 150/70B17 RR TRAILMAX MISSION 69T REAR MSRP: $369.99CAD - Purchase Price: 249.99CAD

Most tires do not do well below 7 C since they are not as pliable. I have not had this bike in temps that low but I would not expect them to do as well.
I am happy with mine but may switch to the Motoz ones when these are done, will have to see.

Heat's the issue here. It prematurely ages/hardens tires. If it stays hot, there's not a big issue. But, if the tires are well worn, the first cool day is gonna get sketchy.
You're right about the heat aging things down here. Doesn't seem that long ago I was a young buck running around on my Triumph T100SC, a couple of Bultacos and a Yamaha RT1, and now it seems like all of a sudden I'm hitting 75 next month. There ought to be a law against that. Granted, it would be a stupid law, but we're somewhat known for those in Texas.

Got to try my new set on pavement and Colorado dirt, coming from K60’s ,I was very impressed, Smooth, responsive & predictable, they feel softer than K60s, I was concerned about the tire shape and less shoulder knobs for cornering in dirt but never ha an issue, I‘m sold, Now let’s see the milage vs.K60s……

I've ridden mine on cold and wet pavement (37F) and they were just a little less reliable than my previous Metzeler Tourance Next. Still great wet grip for a 50/50 tire.

Today I change them after 11280 miles, just cause I wanted to recover the original off-road grip. Still grips, but can feel the difference.

Took me 4 hours total using only my spoons and strength. These are some PITA tires to dismount and mount due to the hard sidewall.
