Ha ha! For most manufacturers, and based on my own 50+ years experience, this would just mean designing a front tire that wears out faster!

Funny you should say that. Myself and one other person on here had exactly that experience with the A41 front tire. Wore out way before the back. Never had that happen before.

The only set I had that ever wore out the front first were the Anakee IIIs. Got several thousand more mileage from the rear, both mounted at the same time new.

I got 12 to 15 k out of my Dunlop dual compound tires on my Harley’s. And my god were they good in the rain. Longevity always comes at a price. My rear would get squared, once squared taking curves had an uneasy feeling of going off a curb wrong. The bike would snap down in a turn. I could always have pushed for more miles but the feeling was unsettling and would only get worse.

I installed a new set of Bridgestone A41 tires and not impressed with the wear of the front tire. It is at 3/32” tread depth with 7000 miles on it and hopefully will make it to 10,000 miles before replacement. I ordered a Battle Wing BW501E replacement which will normally last 13-14,000 miles for me.

I used to wear out Metzeler front Z6 tires before the rear……lots of weight on the front of a Honda ST1300.

BTW, tires prices have risen quite dramatically^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^recently.

I have had two bikes that I would wear the front tires out on first. One really doesn't count because it was raked out and kind of had spindly forks to begin with. the other is my FJ1200. I had tires that would wear out close to the same and other tires that the front was gone fast. I used to run a Bridgestone on the front and a Ching Shin on the rear. I would wear two fronts out to the one rear. I have had a set on the FJR 1300 that the front wore out first but most were even on that bike. My Super T and now this DR I go through the rears first but the fronts are heavily worn at the same time but not worn out. Of course the Super T and DR get spun up some in gravel and other areas like that.
