To me, it's like comparing the T-7 to the T-12. Depends on where you're gonna ride.

Which also why I think the T-12 should be reinvented as a Tracer GT. She's a much better Grand Tour than a desert bike. The Tenrere historically has always been in the 650-750cc class.

I sat on a Pan American and then I realized that the ground clearance was because it was on the centerstand! So I walked away.

Was that with the electronic suspension lowered?

I don't know. They had several parked in a row. I walked up to the one on the CS to sit on it. Then got off and looked at the other two sitting there and realized that the ground clearance was low.

They may well have the adaptive ride height and be sitting 1-2" lower than they otherwise would be while moving.

So, there's one of them with that paint scheme out where I live. Last year I saw an orange/black one. Then I saw this one, and haven't seen the orang/black one. I assumed that the guy had painted it himself. Guess not.

That could very well be... but I have the S10 now and I figure it's a better bike for me and I think it sure as #$%& looks better too. And it was less than half the cost... used with 13,500 miles.

ive seen more pan Americans on the road in the last year than super Teneres in the last twelve years , weird .
