Dry Punch Engine Noise

Good Morning.

I recently bought a 2012 Super Tenerife (second-hand). =)

The bike is very good, it is sharp, but ... I have noticed 2 things:

1) The previous owner changed the oil recently, but it is past the oil level (the oil window is full, no bubble or anything is visible).

2) WHAT WORRIES ME AND A LOT !!!! When I give it a "torque" (a little dry acceleration), the engine hits super hard, it looks like a hammer on the one piston. But, extremely strong!

It only does it when it is given "torque" (even if it is in neutral), but, running the motorcycle without sudden acceleration has no problem, it runs very well and without any strange noise.

A friend tells me that the oil pump may not be working well, another tells me that it is excess oil (which I don't think will produce that shock). In the same way tomorrow I will remove the excess and see how it is, but I am really afraid of that blow because I feel that the engine is going to break. x.X

Annex a small video of a few seconds:

Does anyone have an idea?

Cheers

The oil sight is only a vague representation of the presence of oil in the engine. You need to follow the method stated in the owner's handbook to check the oil level correctly. I won't attempt to describe it here, you need the book.

This is a dry sump engine, so a little extra oil (note: little, not lots) will not make a difference.

This is a large displacement two cylinder engine. You get a considerable amount of engine braking when you shut off the throttle.

Your noise on shut off sounds worrying, no pun intended. Noises are hard to diagnose at a distance but based on what can be heard in the video, that noise is disturbing.

Oil level must be checked with the engine warm and bike sitting level, follow the procedure in the owner’s manual.
2012 models had issues with clutch basket and cam chain tensioner, yours does sound a bit “rattling“ so I would check if they have been updated.

Definitely remove any excess oil. Your sound recording is way to short To be of much help.

i consider the oil check procedure explained in the owners manual mostly a bunch of time wasting crap, my Goldwing uses pretty much the same crap procedure. I check them when the engine is cold and parked on centerstand on a fairly level spot, as long as the level shows between the high and low marks I leave it alone, my Goldwing turned 547,000 miles yesterday .

Absolutely right. It's worth checking for fault codes in the diagnostic menu too.

My initial reaction was a failing CCT, but it could be something daft like a starter sprag. For now, take great care, especially after a cold start, until you get that strange noise pinned down.

BTW, I think you are somewhere in Central America? - more detail in your profile would be useful, when you get time.
Additionally it helps get to the root of the issue if you can provide us with the mileage, market specification (US/ CA/EU or whatever) condition, service history, details of any warranty work, accident history & modifications for your bike when seeking members advice. Given what you say about performance, I wonder if the ECU has been remapped - I note the K&N sticker too suggesting a non-std air filter.
